Mitch Dowd as a company wanted to do its bit in tackling climate change. After extensive research on eco-friendly fabrications, Mitch Dowd has developed the innovative Green range.
Organic Cotton We have replaced standard cotton with Organic Cotton. This fabric minimises environmental damage because the cotton is grown in organic agricultural systems. Organic agriculture prohibits the use of toxic chemical pesticides and fertilizers. It also seeks to build biologically diverse systems that replenish and maintain soil fertility and promote a healthy environment.
Bamboo We have replaced polyester, a man-man cellulose fibre, with Bamboo. This minimises environmental damage by replacing a petro-chemical based product with a naturally occurring material. Bamboo fibre is produced from the raw material of Bamboo pulp. It grows abundantly, degrades natuarally in the soil, and is less harmful to the environment than the production of man-made fibres.
